The Facts Never Speak For Themselves
Why is it that technical experts provide much of the intellectual capital that drives thriving organizations these days and yet they are unable to communicate what they know in a way that other people can understand and use?
All those engineers, scientists, researchers, programmers, analysts and so on often seem to think that they not only have to convey as much information and detail as possible but that it also has to be delivered in the most boring way possible to ensure that everyone they are talking to loses the will to live.
Then they have the cheek to complain about the lack of response they get from their audiences.

Referral Selling is Just Sophisticated Begging!
Just about every course or book that deals with getting referrals teaches you one single referral method – “asking” for referrals.
They’ll tell you how you have to give good service and then they give you a formula for asking for referrals.
As far as it goes that may be all well and good but there’s a HUGE problem with this approach. People HATE to ask for referrals. You hate it, I hate it, and the people that get asked hate it.

What the…? The Weirdest Job Interview Questions in 2010
Glassdoor, a job-posting and community site for job-seekers, has compiled a list of the oddest interview questions of 2010 to “shed light on the process” and “give job seekers a leg up in their next interview.”
They combed through 80,000 interview questions shared by job candidates on the Glassdoor site to find the wackiest queries and, in so doing, have also managed to identify some of the dumbest companies on the planet. If you are getting questions like these at a job interview it is probably a good time to run.

What’s In A Name?
People who go into business for themselves put in a huge amount of effort while taking a huge amount of risk.
They pour their heart and soul into their business endeavour and many take on board such sage advice as to write a business plan, marketing plan or even go so far as to have mission statements and values.
